We are pleased to announce the availability of Bouncy Castle Java 1.83.
This release includes:
- Composite signatures – First to Market!
- Unsigned X.509 certificates, enabling reduced size of PQC trust anchors
- Support for Java 25 Key Derivation Function (KDF) API
- Enhanced CRMF/CMP support for Key Encapsulation Mechanism (KEM) keys, as an alternative Proof-of-Possession (POP) mechanism
- Bug fixes
